The Last Commute

Charlotte offers a new perspective on eminent domain. Who knew this was what city planners meant by mass transit?

At least IJ has some prior experience with the client base.

Unless you are punning, you probably want to spell it "eminent."

This happened in New York when the Long Island Rail Road was being expanded and cut straight through Pinelawn Cemetery in Brooklyn. See 522 N.Y.S.2d 586 (App. Div. 1987). If anything, cities have less respect for the dead than the living - they're less likely to raise a fuss in court, and you might even get them to vote for you in the next election.
